Retaining Walls Request for Bids Alternate

1 TOWN OF WEATHERSFIELD, VERMONT REQUEST FOR BIDS TO ERECT TWO RETAINING WALLS ON PERKINS HILL ROAD USING NATIVE STONE [Released 8/5/10] ALTERNATE A The Town of Weathersfield is accepting bids from contractors to erect two retaining walls on Perkins Hill Road (Town Highway #47) in Weathersfield, Vermont. Contractors shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to erect both walls in the same locations, lengths, heights, configurations, bases, backfills, finished slopes, and seeding as the Redi-Rock walls but using native stone instead of Redi-Rock blocks. Contractors are not obliged to bid on Alternate A; they may submit bids using only Redi- Rock blocks. Bidder's name: List similar work using native stone bidder has successfully completed. The lump sum for the proposed Alternate A work will be: tiny_mce_marker_________ [Note: No mobilization charges will be permitted.] The undersigned, having familiarized itself with the existing conditions of the proposed site of the two retaining walls on Perkins Hill Road in Weathersfield affecting the work and conditions as set forth in this Request for Bids, hereby proposes to furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, tools, appurtenances, equipment and services required to perform the Alternate A work.
