strawberryNordic Walk Available All ages, all abilities. This type of walking utilizes poles, similar to ski poles, to create a total body work out. Some benefits of Nordic Walking are it helps burn more calories, reduces impact stress to your knees and lower joints, increases balance and stability on uneven terrain, and improved posture. Please contact BJ Esty (daytime 263-9224, nights 263-9651) to get introduced to this great work out. WRAPP wil be purchasing poles for community use.

I completed visits to all the child care programs in the town and rpovided information & water bottles to the WES & WMS students emphisizing the importance of creating a smoke free zone in the home and car for all children. If you’d like more information about ending your relationship with tobacco please call the Mount Ascutney Hospital “Be Tobacco Free” Program (674-7089), which offeres a variety of programs and Nicotine Replacement Therapies that can be tailored to your needs.

Please keep in mind Quitting takes Practice, give it a try.
