Planning Commission/Select Board joint meeting

The Weathersfield Planning Commission and Select Board will be meeting jointly to discuss wording of the Agricultural Zoning Bylaw (Section 6.10.7). The meeting will be held at the Town Office in Ascutney at 7:00PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. The meeting is open to the public. Call the Town Office at 674-2626 for additional information. A copy of the current bylaw may be found on this website at "Documents Online".

Weathersfield Invitation for Paving Bids

The Town of Weathersfield is accepting sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors to add
2.5" bituminous concrete base course, plus 1.5" wearing course, along with associated
pavement marking on Stoughton Pond Road. Bids for Weathersfield - PLH TSDP(1)
will be accepted until 11:00 am on Thursday, 9/16/10 at Martin Memorial Hall, 5259
Route 5, Ascutney, Vermont at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Plans, Specifications, and Proposal may be seen at the following offices: (1) Town of
Weathersfield, Martin Memorial Hall, 5259 Route 5, Ascutney, VT 05030; (2) Works in
Progress, Inc., 20 Farrell Street, South Burlington, VT 05403; and (3) Construction
Industries of Massachusetts, Inc., 1500 Providence Highway, Suite 14, P.O. Box 667,
Norwood, MA 02062. Plans may be obtained from the Town of Weathersfield for
$20.00 a set. Minimum wage rates and public works employment laws are applicable.
Federal wage rates do apply to this contract. All bids must be accompanied by a
negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent of the amount of the
bid. All bidders shall be included on the current Vermont Agency of Transportation
Contract Administration's pre-qualified list "Contractors List for Surface Rehabilitation."
A pre-bid conference will not be held. Questions may be address to Weathersfield Public

The Select Board is seeking candidates interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Adjustment as alternate members. Any resident interested in serving on the Zoning Board as an Alternate is requested to submit a short letter or email of interest by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 1st. The Select Board will be making appointments on Thursday night, September 2nd. Emails should be addressed to wthrsfield@weathersfield.org.

TO ERECT TWO RETAINING WALLS
ON PERKINS HILL ROAD
USING NATIVE STONE

ALTERNATE A
The Town of Weathersfield is accepting bids from contractors to erect two retaining
walls on Perkins Hill Road (Town Highway #47) in Weathersfield, Vermont.
Contractors shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to erect both walls
in the same locations, lengths, heights, configurations, bases, backfills, finished slopes, and
seeding as the Redi-Rock walls but using native stone instead of Redi-Rock blocks.
Contractors are not obliged to bid on Alternate A; they may submit bids using only Redi-
Rock blocks.

The lump sum for the proposed Alternate A work will be:

The undersigned, having familiarized itself with the existing conditions of the proposed site of

Alternate A work.
